The Director, Strategic Sourcing (Operations) is accountable for providing procurement leadership and direction for new client business pursuits and client transitions, vendor set up and compliance, Oracle purchase order administration, central contract repository, procurement procedures and work instructions, supplier contract execution, and procurement governance reporting (risk/quality, Glidepath savings, supplier performance reporting). In addition, this role is responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, achieving greater efficiencies, and managing the life cycle of assigned supplier agreements.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead new client RFP pursuits and transitions, providing procurement support, bid content development, and commercial outsourcing strategy.Oversee procurement activity (communications, vendors, contracts) for client transitions and develop procurement plans with clients and internal BGIS team members.Manage vendor compliance, qualification, and periodic review, including high bribery‑risk vendors and the master vendor list.Maintain contract management database, Oracle PO administration, and procurement records per policy.Develop and maintain quality assurance program, governance, and risk oversight for sourcing activities.Monitor and report on sustainable procurement initiatives, diversity strategy,
and performance metrics.Provide leadership to procurement staff, ensure engagement, development, and performance management.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSMinimum 10 years of work‑related experience.University graduation or professional certification (e.G., P. Eng, CMA, CGA).In‑depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, outsourcing, supplier qualification, and legislative requirements.Exceptional leadership, implementation, conflict‑management, and negotiation skills.Advanced written and verbal communication, executive report writing, and advanced MS Office proficiency.Team facilitation and collaboration, strong business ethics, client service orientation, and ability to handle multiple projects.French language proficiency considered an asset.LICENCES & ACCREDITATIONSupply Chain Management Professional Designation.This is a regular, full-time position with an annual salary range of $110,770 – $138,463.
