Dawson Creek Secondary School is hiring a 0.40 FTE Learning Assistance Teacher for the Central Campus, effective immediately. This role emphasizes inclusive education practices to support diverse learners. We seek a qualified teacher who holds or is eligible for a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate.
The ideal candidate possesses a Master’s degree, diploma, or is currently pursuing research-based practices in Inclusive Education. The successful applicant will create an inclusive classroom and engage in continuous career development. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized learning plans
Adapt and modify curriculum for diverse needs
Collaborate with teaching teams for student support
Manage classroom effectively in a multiage setting
Engage in student-focused assessment practices Requirements:
Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
Experience in K-12 education required
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Robust literacy and numeracy skills
