We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling shipments, communicating with drivers, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of freight operations, trucking logistics, and the ability to coordinate and optimize transportation processes.
Duties
Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers and drivers
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Communicate effectively with drivers to provide necessary information for successful deliveries.
Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and update information.
Analyze freight data to optimize routes and improve efficiency.
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
Proficient in phone etiquette and communication skills.
Knowledge of 3PL (third-party logistics) operations.
Familiarity with SyteLine and AS400 systems is a plus.
Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions.
Robust attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
