Become a Youth Worker at Covenant House, where your skills will help empower homeless youth in a full time, permanent position. This role focuses on life skills and fostering secure environments.
Covenant
House is urgently looking for a compassionate Youth Worker to provide essential support to youth in transitional housing. This position involves building meaningful relationships with participants, implementing transitional plans, and engaging youth using a trauma-informed approach. You will work in a self-scheduling model requiring 4 weekend shifts monthly. Key Responsibilities:
Create supportive connections with ROP program participants
Provide individual and group life skills training
Conduct ongoing assessments and referrals to supports
Handle crisis situations effectively and safely
Manage shift activities and team responsibilities Requirements:
College degree in youth work or related field
Two years’ experience in similar programs
Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies
Solid communication and relationship-building skills
