Become an Auxiliary Community Safety Team member with Squamish Nation in North Vancouver and Squamish Valley.

Your role will focus on supporting safety and well-being through active patrols. As a community safety member, you will ensure the well-being of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh communities by patrolling key areas and connecting individuals to necessary resources. This role requires robust observational skills and a commitment to community engagement and support. Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and monitor local community sites and neighborhoods
Observe and report security concerns like trespassing
Connect community members with support services
Aid in traffic control and community safety initiatives
Assist during emergencies and community programs Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Training in first aid and de-escalation techniques preferred
Solid communication and conflict management skills
Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
Knowledge of Skwxwú7mesh culture is an asset Work with purpose and help build a safer community through proactive engagement.
