We are looking for a reliable, creative, and customer-focused Floral Assistant to join our team. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the flower shop, including processing fresh flowers, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting customers, taking orders, preparing arrangements, and supporting our floral designers.

Responsibilities:
Process, hydrate, and properly care for incoming fresh flowers and greenery
Maintain clean, organized, and stocked work areas, coolers, and supplies
Assist customers in person and over the phone
Take and process floral orders accurately
Prepare everyday bouquets, vase arrangements, and other floral designs
Assist senior designers with larger arrangements, weddings, funerals, and events
Wrap and package completed arrangements for pickup and delivery
Restock supplies and maintain shop inventory
Clean buckets, tools, workstations, and other shop areas
Assist with deliveries and receiving orders when needed
Provide friendly, skilled customer service
Learn and follow the shop’s design standards, recipes, pricing, and procedures




Take on additional design responsibilities as skills and experience develop

Qualifications:
Previous floral experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person
Creative eye and interest in floral design
Robust attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Valuable communication and customer service skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting buckets and boxes
Willingness to learn and take direction

Growth Opportunities:This position is intended to provide opportunities to develop stronger floral design, customer service, and shop-management skills. As the employee becomes more confident and proficient, responsibilities and compensation can increase accordingly.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
