This includes health and safety, finances, contract management, field activities, sub-contractors and client relationships according to Telecon’s commitments.The business unit specializes in the construction of FTTH/FTTP networks. The Operations Manager is responsible for the full project cycle, starting from estimation through to project completion.The expected annual salary for this position is in the range of $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.This is a Hybrid opportunity with an expectation for field visits as required (including Dawson Creek and Terrace, BC). The ideal candidate will reside in/around the Kelowna, BC area.You Will Have The Opportunity ToDevelops action plans in line with Telecon’s strategic deployment to meet short term and long-term objectives, profitability and business growth. This role is responsible and accountable for the performance and results of the region, while ensuring they are in accordance with the business plan targets and the application is of sound governanceDemonstrates leadership by providing direction and coaching to team to achieve the financial and operational targets of their regionIdentifies, develops and executes key performance indicators (KPI) for the businessActs as a change agent by inspiring and driving core company values such as health and safety, experts in our line of business, and promoting teamworkWorks closely with other divisions and corporate groups (operations support, finance, human capital) to optimize resources and opportunities for growthMaintains effective communication with our partners, including customers, suppliers,
and subcontractorsBuild and maintain client’s relationship while developing new business opportunities through strong telecommunications networkEnsure projects are planned and executed on time and in budget. This role will prepare monthly project analysis and regional performance report; optimize project productivities with regard to resources and equipment and participate in estimate preparationDirect and lead the Supervisors and administrations staff toward goals and objectivesEnsure financial KPI’s are followed; are on target andpropose alternative solutions and actions when required. This role will also establish and implement annual budget and measure monthly regional financial performanceResolve operational issuesManage general contracts and subcontractor’s contractsOversee contract management initiativesEnsure proper implementation of company’s procedures with regard to health & safety and qualityTHIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:Bachelor’s degree is required in Business or related disciplineBetween 5-10 years of field supervision and project management, preferably in the telecommunications industryExperience and knowledge in telecommunication projectsStrong client relationship management skill: ability to effectively work with all levels and leverage telecommunications network in order to grow businessExcellent leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written)Excellent project management skills, strategic thinking, and tactical implementation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced setting and to manage multiple mid-to large scale projects and initiativesStrong data analysis and the ability to translate data into conclusionsExcellent capacity to resolve operational issuesStrong planning and organizational skillsAvailable to travelIS THIS YOU?
