Join the Okanagan Regional Library as an Auxiliary Community Librarian. This position plays a key role in public service while providing coverage for permanent staff during their absences. Working at the Kelowna and Rutland branches, you’ll assist the Community Librarian and ensure smooth branch operations in line with library policies. Your flexibility in coverage during peak times—weekends and holidays—is essential to meet community needs. Key Responsibilities:
Support branch services under librarian's direction
Cover for supervisors during short absences
Assist library patrons with inquiries and technology
Help organize educational and recreational programs
Perform basic bookstore cash management duties Requirements:
Grade 12 education or equivalent
One year of customer-facing work experience
Robust oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet navigation
