Customer Service Representative – Lumberyard

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for supporting contractor and retail customers by providing product knowledge, processing orders, and providing day-to-day customer support. This role requires hands-on familiarity with lumber, building materials, and or related products. The Customer Service Representative reports directly to the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities
Provide customer support to lumberyard customers in person and by phone.
Prepare and process customer orders and special orders in accordance with company procedures.
Apply lumber and building materials knowledge to assist customers with product selection.
Resolve customer issues and complaints in a qualified, solution-focused manner.
Identify damaged or defective materials and complete return documentation as required.
Ensure product displays and materials are properly stocked, labeled, and presentable.
Maintain familiarity with lumber, building materials, and related product lines.
Participate in required training related to products, safety, and store procedures

Qualifications/Assets




Strong working knowledge of lumberyard operations, products, and basic building materials.
Solid understanding of company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Friendly, professional, and helpful approach when working with customers and team members.
Willingness and ability to support other departments as required by the Branch Manager.
Proven ability to build positive working relationships with front-line staff and management.
Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced lumberyard environment.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
