We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be vital in supporting our logistics operations. Duties
Safely operate Class 1 trucks to pick up and deliver freight according to scheduled routes and deadlines
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, delivery logs, and vehicle maintenance records
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during operations
Experience
Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial trucks (Class 1 license required) with a clean driving record - minimum 2 years of local LTL and FL work
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting goods
Solid communication skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping and reporting
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
