Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, assisting with construction and horticultural tasks, and supporting overall landscape upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess mechanical aptitude, and be eager to learn current skills in landscape maintenance and construction.
Duties
Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and irrigation systems
Support construction activities like installing features, fencing, or pathways
Perform gardening duties including planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning
Help with site preparation, grading, and soil management for various projects
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all landscaping activities
Support team members in executing project plans efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating equipment such as excavators is a plus
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscape maintenance and construction
Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance practices is advantageous
Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
Robust work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Valid driver’s license is preferred for equipment operation or site travel
