Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to design and support HVAC systems for commercial, agricultural, and controlled environment agriculture (CEA) facilities. The right person will combine solid technical and project skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach and help carry projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities
Design, estimate, and optimize HVAC systems for commercial, agricultural, and CEA facilities.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and prepare technical documentation.
Manage projects from concept through commissioning, meeting schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Collaborate with sales, operations, contractors, clients, and engineering partners.
Provide technical leadership, review drafting work, and support team development.
Support construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolution of field-related issues.

Requirements




Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
P.Eng. designation in Ontario or eligibility for registration
Experience or education in HVAC system design and engineering principles.
Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Ontario Building Code, and National Building Code of Canada.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Solid communication, organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred: 5+ years of HVAC engineering experience; greenhouse, horticultural or CEA experience; project leadership from design through commissioning; and experience supporting sales, operations or clients.

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
