Legal Intake Coordinator / Call Centre Agent

Nanda & Associate Lawyers Professional Corporation is seeking a full time Legal Intake Coordinator/Call Centre Agent to join our Mississauga office.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for prospective and existing clients. This is a fast-paced position involving a high volume of incoming calls and inquiries across several areas of law. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
Answer and manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
Obtain accurate information from prospective clients and identify the general nature of their legal matter
Direct inquiries to the appropriate lawyer, law clerk or department
Schedule consultations and send appointment confirmations
Enter client information, call notes and follow-up tasks into the firm’s software
Follow up with prospective clients regarding consultations and retainers
Assist with conflict-check information and opening new client files
Respond to general telephone and email inquiries without providing legal advice
Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information
Provide administrative support to lawyers and other team members as required

Qualifications and Skills




High school diploma required; college diploma or post-secondary education is preferred
Previous experience in a call centre, customer-service, receptionist or legal-office position is an asset
Excellent spoken and written English
Solid telephone manner and skilled communication skills
Ability to listen carefully, ask appropriate questions and record information accurately
Strong organizational, multitasking and time-management skills
Ability to remain calm, courteous and empathetic when dealing with sensitive situations
Comfortable working with computers, Microsoft Office and client-management software
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
