We are seeking a Security Guard to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Check bags and 2 IDs upon entry
Communicate with the team on a regular basis
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Promote company material when required
Apprehend or expel patrons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues
Call emergency personnel for high risk situations
Report back to the department manager
Assist other departments when needed.

Qualifications:




Valid BC Security License
OFA 1 would be an asset (not required)
Must be fluent in English to talk to patrons
Familiarity with security equipment
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong attention to detail
Helping other departments when in need
