Responsibilities
Assess damaged vehicles to determine necessary repairs and create detailed repair plans
Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
Perform bodywork repairs including panel replacement, dent removal, and alignment adjustments
Conduct mechanical repairs related to collision damage, ensuring all systems function properly after repairs
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair progress and timelines
Complete all required documentation accurately, including repair reports and inspection checklists
Experience
Prior dealership or automotive repair shop experience highly preferred
Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
Experience with automotive repair processes including bodywork and mechanical repairs
Mechanic experience is advantageous for understanding complex vehicle systems
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
