5Blue Process Equipment is a fabrication shop located in Nisku, Alberta, specializing in Modularized Production Equipment & Pressure Vessel Packaged skids, complete with instrumentation and piping for the Oil & Gas industry.

We are currently seeking Pipefitters to join our team.

The role of the Pipefitter encompasses many activities including but not limited to:
Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements;
Installing supports, valves, piping and control systems;
Using hand tools or machines to cut openings for pipe in walls, floors, and ceilings;
Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe as required;
Welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints to join pipes and fabrication sections of piping systems;
Testing systems for leaks using testing equipment;
Maintaining all tools, work area, and equipment in a clean an orderly fashion;
Following all company policies and procedures including adherence to industry standards and requirements;
Promoting and maintaining a secure work environment;
Standing for long periods of time. Lifting light to moderate weights;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge in hydrostatic testing;
Journeyman pipefitter with Red Seal is an asset; ·




Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Pipefitter is an asset;
Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred;
Experience in threaded piping systems;
Rigging experience;
Valid government-issued driver’s license;
Overall skill in relation to tools, measuring, and fabrication in general;
Experience in a pipe fabrication setting;
Strong commitment to safety;
Must be able to work well both independently and on a team;
Self-motivated, organized and able to work in high pressure schedule driven workplace.

Certification/Ticket Requirements
Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship program participant.
WHMIS 2015.
OSSA Fall Protection is an asset.
OSSA EWP / AWP is an asset.
H2S Alive is an asset.
