In search of a positive, energetic, fun Community Inclusion Activity Support Person

Do you have time available on Wednesday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday to support our amazing son at Community Inclusion activities?

Who Is the Client:
a healthy and fit, young man with a severe communication deficit
a happy, calm and easy-going young man who wants to please, likes to be with people. Everyone says “He is awesome!”
a young man who needs substituted judgment and guidance with many decisions
needs quality support that is upbeat and encouraging
very easy to be with and will participate in almost any activity presented to him
enjoys playing piano and guitar, biking, hiking, running, going to the gym, and many other outdoor activities

What is the Job:
supporting and encouraging him as an activity companion
planning activities to share with him




to ensure he is secure and to organize the things around him so that he can be successful
working as part of a team with common goals for him

What does the job offer:
the chance to use your own skills and interests to support and include a person with an intellectual disability
an hourly pay rate of $28
training and on-going support
the actual time with him can be very rewarding and positive

What do you need to bring to the situation:
an upbeat, positive personality
willingness to learn how to support / teach him
ability to read music to support him playing piano and/or guitar
willingness to be part of a team

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
