Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in concrete placing a/o finishing and the ability to work effectively in various construction environments. This role involves preparing and finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. The Concrete Placer / Finisher will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties
Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning, leveling, and setting forms.
Finish, and spread concrete according to specifications (utilization of power trowels, ride-ons is a MUST)
Finish surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes.
Restore and repair existing concrete structures as needed.
Install concrete features such as slabs on grade, suspended slabs, flatwork (sidewalks, driveways etc.)
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure seamless integration of concrete work.
Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with concrete installation and finishing.
Skills
Solid mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques and practices.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively.
Familiarity with power trowels, ride-ons, vibe strikes etc.
Capability to build forms for pouring concrete accurately.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.
