Duties
Prepare fresh ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning to support the kitchen’s meal assembly process
Assist chefs and cooks with cooking tasks such as assembling dishes, plating, and basic food preparation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
Handle food products safely by following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by ensuring timely preparation of ingredients and supplies
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for smooth operations
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards and restaurant policies
Experience
Previous food service experience or restaurant experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
Experience in meal preparation or working in a rapid-paced kitchen workplace will help you succeed
Knowledge of food safety practices ensures protected handling of ingredients and adherence to hygiene standards
