We are transitioning from Sage50 to QuickBooksOnline, as well as implementing a new industry-specific inspection program, and both program require a lot of data entry before they can be fully utilized. Due to the amount of data entry required, it is imperative that your attention to detail is exemplary.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Student to join our team. This paid temporary position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions within a busy, fast-paced environment. As an Accounting Student, you will support daily accounting operations by invoicing completed work orders using Sage 50 and assisting with data entry. This role is ideal for students eager to work in a real-world setting while developing essential skills for a future career in accounting.
Duties
Perform general administrative tasks including invoice processing and document filing
Assist with data entry tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable using accounting software such as Sage 50, QuickBooks Online; as well as Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms is preferred
Robust data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent math skills and the ability to perform account analysis effectively
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently within a team environment
Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn about financial services operations
