Event Sales Representative / Event Planner – Base Wage + Commission

The Guelph Estate Convention Centre & Banquet Hall is looking for a motivated Event Sales Representative / Event Planner to help us generate current business and increase event bookings.

This position offers Ontario minimum wage plus a percentage-based commission on successful bookings that you generate.

Responsibilities
Generate new leads and bring current clients to The Guelph Estate
Promote our venue, wedding packages, catering, corporate events, private parties, and other functions
Develop relationships with wedding planners, businesses, organizations, and community groups
Follow up with potential clients and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings
Network with local businesses and event professionals
Develop referral partnerships and generate recent business
Assist clients throughout the sales and booking process
Meet agreed sales and booking goals

What We’re Looking For
Experience in event planning, hospitality, sales, or business development is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident, outgoing, and professional personality
Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Comfortable making calls,



following up with prospects, and developing new leads
Existing relationships with businesses, wedding planners, event professionals, or community organizations are an asset

Compensation

Ontario minimum wage + percentage-based commission

You will receive an hourly wage in accordance with Ontario employment standards, plus a predetermined percentage commission on successful event bookings that you bring to the venue.

The commission percentage and terms will be discussed during the interview.
