As we continue to grow, we’re strengthening the financial backbone of the business to ensure we scale with discipline and clarity.Summary And Value Of The RoleThe Controller is a critical contributor to the financial health and operational rhythm of the business. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will take a high level of responsibility for day‑to‑day accounting operations, support financial planning and analysis, and ensure accurate, timely reporting including tax compliance reporting. This is a hands‑on role for someone who is technically strong, systems‑minded, and comfortable operating with evolving aspects of a business that is growing internationally and embracing process and compliance aspects that come along with that.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & ReportingProvide mentorship and day‑to‑day guidance to the accounting team, ensuring clarity of expectations and a culture of continuous process improvementEnsure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reportsBe heavily involved in month‑end and year‑end closing processesOversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, cash management, and general ledger activitiesAssist in the development and maintenance of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting accuracyCoordinate with external accountants and support year‑end processesFinancial Planning & AnalysisDevelop and monitor budgets, forecasts,
and financial plans in partnership with the VP of FinanceConduct financial analysis and provide insights to support operational decision‑making including related to monthly dashboard reporting for internal stakeholdersIdentify financial risks and performance trends and bring forward recommendationsSystems, Data & ProcessEnsure integrity and accuracy of financial data across systemsSupport the implementation and optimization of the company’s ERP system (Acumatica)Assess and improve accounting processes to support scalability and growthMaintain clear documentation of financial processes and controlsLeverage data and reporting tools to improve financial visibility and decision supportCompliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with applicable financial regulations and standardsMaintain and strengthen internal control proceduresSupport external reporting and regulatory requirements as neededQualifications, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA designation (completed or near completion) strongly preferred4‑6 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of financial reporting standardsDemonstrated ownership of month‑end close and financial statement preparationSignificant experience in data analysis including Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization toolsExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementExperience with corporate tax provisions, sales tax considerations and general awareness of corporate income tax mattersExperience working in a project‑based, manufacturing, or custom‑build environment is an assetExperience implementing an ERP/accounting systems is also an assetSkills & CapabilitiesStrong technical accounting foundationAnalytical,
