About the Role Zen Residential is looking for an experienced, hands-on

HRManager

to lead our People and Culture function. This role is ideal for anHR professional who is comfortable operating independently, providing trustedadvice to leaders, and taking ownership of both day-to-day HR matters andlonger-term people initiatives.

The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, workplaceinvestigations, policies, onboarding, training and development, employeeengagement, performance management, and HR systems and processes. You will workclosely with leaders across the organization to provide practical HR guidanceand ensure a consistent employee experience.

What You Will Do

Ownemployee relations and workplace concerns, leading investigations and complaintmanagement with professionalism and discretion.

Supportleaders through performance, discipline, and difficult employee situations.

Develop,implement, and standardize HR policies, procedures, and documentation.

Ownonboarding and employee orientation, and support the full employee lifecycle.

Leadleader and employee training, with Respectful Workplace training as a priority.

Supportleaders with hiring and people decisions, particularly for senior and criticalroles.

Ownemployee engagement survey activities, from planning through action planningand follow through.

Leadculture initiatives and manage the Core Values Recognition Program.

DriveHR technology and process improvement,



including the effective use of AI in dayto day HR work.

EnsureHR practices comply with Alberta Employment Standards and other applicablerequirements.

Provideoversight and support to the Recruiter.

What You Bring

Significantgeneralist HR experience, with hands on ownership of employee relations,investigations, and policy work.

CPHRdesignation, or active pursuit of one, is considered an asset.

Demonstratedexperience conducting workplace investigations and coaching managers throughsensitive employee situations.

Experiencedeveloping and delivering training, including Respectful Workplace or similarprograms.

Workingknowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and HR compliance.

Experienceowning employee engagement surveys, including action planning and followthrough.

Familiaritywith HRIS or payroll systems, such as Payworks is an asset.

Aconfident technology user who knows how to use AI to work faster and better,while protecting confidentiality and applying sound HR judgment.

Strongorganizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesindependently.

Excellentcommunication and relationship building skills across all levels of theorganization.

Aproactive, solutions oriented mindset and the confidence to own outcomes.
