People like you!Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Chief Power Engineer to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Calgary, AB Plant. This state of the art manufacturing plant produces premium roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous, asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment.Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Chief Power Engineer is responsible for overseeing a number of site critical equipment such as oil heaters, HVAC equipment, compressors, steam systems and fire prevention systems and performing routine preventative maintenance, checks, and ensuring equipment meets ABSA standards/requirements.Click here to learn how you can build your future with IKO! LC's on belts, and arranging for site contractors for major repairs/overhauls.Responsible for compressors – conducting preventative maintenance on air dryers-filters, maintain list and inspection on pressure vessels.Conduct system checks on blowers, filler unload, and process.Responsible for steam systems and Oxidizer area by checking and inspecting for leaks, performing preventative maintenance on steam traps, and performing repairs as necessary.Fire Prevention Systems – performing weekly checks on all on-site sprinkler systems, testing fire pump in C2 Plant, monthly trip tests on dry sprinkler systems (site-wide), monthly fire extinguisher inspection (compile reports from all areas) and Quarterly PID checks and turning underground valves.Qualifications3rd Class Power Engineering ABSA (Alberta Boilers Safety Association) DesignationComfortable performing preventative maintenance, checks, and ensuring compliance with ABSA requirementsPrevious industrial manufacturing plant experience is an assetStructured problem-solving skillsUsage of tools and processes to ensure a successful accomplishment of expected goalsProject implementation skills from initial planning stages to completionComputer skills -- Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OutlookOrganizational skills; ability to manage shortand long-term projectsCommunication skills; verbal and written fluency in English, effective presentation skills,
