Job Type: Permanent Full-TimePay: $27.27 per hour + $2 overnight premiumAbout the RoleAs an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) at Alpha House, you will be responsible for delivering care planning and services within the LPN scope of practice. You will provide health teaching, infection prevention support, and participate in client‑centered care as part of an integrated, collaborative team. Your responsibilities would include:Performing delegated independent nursing functions within the CLPNA scope of practice for clients with substance use disorderMaintaining and ensuring best practices around infection prevention and controlProviding health education related to Hepatitis A, B, C, HIV/AIDS, condom usage, nutrition, STBBIs, sanitation, hygiene, and medication managementSupporting influenza clinics, vaccinations, and Naloxone trainingEnsuring compliance with regulatory standards (MSDS, OH&S, WHMIS)Developing and participating in comprehensive client care plansDemonstrating initiative, critical thinking, decision‑making, and triage without direct supervisionCollaborating with the team in an integrated practice modelServing as a role model for Alpha House’s values and acting as a positive ambassador with clients, partners, and the communityAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced and compassionate LPN to join our team.



The ideal candidate would have the following:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing2–3 years’ experience in addictions nursing (preferred)Active registration and good standing with CLPNA/CRNA/CRPNAAbility to physically assist clients from prone to sitting/standing positionsVulnerable Sector Search (within 6 months) with no disqualifying resultsAbility to completeValid CPR certificationAbility to complete lift training and privacy certificationKnowledge of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of careComputer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (WOLF EMR an asset)Strong time management, multitasking, and critical thinking skills; able to triage with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and empathyResourceful, flexible, and adaptable in challenging situationsKnowledge of socio‑environmental determinants of health, including poverty, mental health, and substance use disorderAbility to tolerate strong odorsCommitment to ethical practice and thorough understanding of the Protection of Persons in Care ActAbout Alpha HouseAlpha House is dedicated to providing safe, caring, and respectful environments for individuals dealing with addiction and mental health challenges.
