Join a cooperative team as a Neurologist in a well-established Stroke and Rehabilitation unit. Work alongside physiatrists and receive dedicated administrative support in a up-to-date setting.
As part of a UBC-affiliated teaching hospital, you will have access to dedicated clinic space and a state-of-the-art Clinical Services Building (CSB) that includes an advanced electrophysiology lab for EMG, EEG, and polysomnography services. Subspecialties like MS, stroke, and others are beneficial, but not mandatory. Collaborate with a diverse range of specialists and contribute to patient care in a leading tertiary care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide care in the Stroke/Rehabilitation unit
• Engage in collaboration with physiatrists and other specialists
• Utilize contemporary electrophysiology equipment for diagnostics
• Participate in the Urgent Neurology/Stroke Clinic outreach
• Assess and treat patients with needs in neurology
Requirements:
• Background in neurology with interest in stroke and rehabilitation
• Familiarity with EMG, EEG, or polysomnography services desirable
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Licensure to practice medicine in British Columbia
• Open to locum transitioning to permanent role
