Job Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The Electrician is primarily responsible to service, maintain and test production equipment. This position will support production by trouble shooting problems, making repairs and system improvements (optimization).

- Assembles and installs new equipment and machines and is able to make modifications to existing equipment as requested.
- Carries out preventative maintenance procedures on electrical equipment as laid out by the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Coordinate activities of co-op students, apprentices, helpers and assigned contractors.
- Assist in determining and setting up spare part requirements.
- Perform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Karmax Environmental Policy Statement-3 P's. Prevent Pollution, Preserve Natural Resources & Protect our Environment.




- Must be able to weld and fabricate as required.
- Hands on with power tools.
- Has good interpersonal and communication skills and is results oriented.
- Has an exemplary attitude towards housekeeping, safety and company policies, Basic computer skills.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team Player and results oriented.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Salary starting at $48.01 per hour.
- Immediate, open position.
- Certificate of Qualification Industrial Electrician 442 or Electrician 309.
