The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in building mechanical systems, with a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.About the Job Assist with full cycle management of projects from project initiation to post-constructionPreparation of design documents such as drawings, specifications, and other relevant technical documents for client review, tender, permit application, and constructionUse building mechanical systems and construction techniques to come up with solutions to potential design or on-site issuesLiaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other specialty consultantsSite reviews/field investigationCoordinate and run meetings internally and externallyAssist with interpreting and implementing applicable codes and regulationsDevelop budgets and cash flowsEvaluate the quality of technical design and support activities which assure a high level of technological quality throughout the firmAbout You Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education/experienceRegistered as a Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) or EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists BC; or eligible for registrationMinimum 3-5 years of consulting engineering experience in building mechanical systemsDemonstrated ability to independently design plumbing and fire suppression systems for commercial/institutional buildingsExperience preparing plumbing and fire protection design drawings, specifications, and tender documentsAbility to perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systems (NFPA 13) and plumbing system sizingStrong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including BC Plumbing Code, NFPA 13, NFPA 14, BC Building Code, and relevant CSA standardsExperience with domestic water, sanitary/storm drainage,
