Rentals Fleet ManagerWe are actively recruiting a Rentals Fleet Manager who will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of the Canadian rental fleet in alignment with corporate objectives and asset cost‑management strategies. This role oversees processes that optimize vehicle availability, utilization, performance, and regulatory compliance across a multi‑jurisdictional fleet. The Rentals Fleet Manager ensures fleet readiness to support scheduling and forecasting requirements, reviews and approves rental fleet maintenance estimates and invoices, and partners closely with internal service, sales, and operational teams. and equipment capabilitiesSupport quality control processes related to rental fleet check‑in and check‑out inspectionsPartner with internal service and sales teams to ensure rental and used equipment is prepared for sale within quoted timelines and costsCustomer & Operational SupportCommunicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, service interruptions, compliance matters, and operational updatesProactively address customer concerns related to vehicle performance, downtime, breakdowns, or incidents, ensuring timely and practical resolutionsAnalyze fleet data to support decisions related to equipment replacement versus rebuild, based on age, usage, condition, and availabilityManage fleet reporting related to performance, lifecycle management, maintenance costs, and open work ordersSupport fleet readiness planning to meet scheduling, utilization, and forecasting requirementsTechnology & TelematicsOversee onboarding of new rental fleet units, including GPS and telematics integrationMaintain GPS/ELD systems, ensure data accuracy, and manage related vendor relationshipsRegulatory Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure fleet compliance with applicable transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements, including CVOR and MTO compliance maintenance programsManage end‑to‑end processes for rental fleet units involved in accidents, including reporting, insurance coordination, claims support,
and repairsSupport accident investigations and provide technical input related to causation, repairs, and preventionOther DutiesPerform other duties as assigned in support of fleet operations and business objectivesAbout YouStrong mechanical and technical aptitude, with a solid understanding of shop operations and preventive maintenance practicesDemonstrated knowledge of fleet asset management principlesStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet or asset management systemsPosition Requirements/QualificationsEducation / Certification:Certified Heavy Truck Mechanic, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, in accordance with company policy.Must be able to pass a pre‑employment background check.ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years of experience in a dealership, fleet, or service‑based environment.Experience supporting a multi‑jurisdictional vehicle fleet is preferred.Practical experience with:Fleet operations and asset managementCVOR and MTO compliance maintenance programsELD and telematics systemsBudgeting, cost control, and asset cost managementAccident investigation and claims coordinationAbility to support business needs outside of standard business hours on an occasional basis, as requiredOther DetailsWork EnvironmentOffice and shop environmentsPeriodic evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs.Travel ExpectationsUp to approximately 5% travel may be required within the United States and Canada.#J-18808-Ljbffr
