In this impactful role, you’ll provide frontline crisis intervention, emotional support, court assistance, and community coordination for victims and witnesses of crime and trauma.This is more than an administrative role – it’s an prospect to become a trusted advocate, educator, and connector within the criminal justice and community support system.ResponsibilitiesProvide frontline crisis intervention and emotional support to victims and witnesses of crime and trauma.Offer court assistance and coordinate community resources.Maintain accurate case documentation and fulfill reporting requirements.Participate in ongoing training and professional development.QualificationsCompletion of senior secondary school or its equivalent.Completion of a minimum two years post‑secondary education specializing in a relevant field such as psychology, counseling, criminal justice, communications, or criminology.Proficient in intermediate Word, intermediate Excel and intermediate PowerPoint software as demonstrated through testing.
(70% pass rate required)Minimum of one‑year RCMP experience or experience providing emotional or practical support to victims of crime and trauma in the field of Victim Services or a closely related field.Ability to successfully complete and pass all required courses offered on the job.Ability to obtain and maintain RCMP Reliability Security Clearance. (Note: applicants must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Resident Status in Canada and have resided in Canada for the last five consecutive years.)Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.Benefits & ConditionsFor new hires and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until a police information check is completed.This position will receive 14% in lieu of all benefits, vacation, statutory holidays, and health time.
