The Performance Engineer of Infrastructure Performance Engineering is a senior technical Engineer responsible for personally leading and resolving the most complex, high-impact infrastructure performance and resiliency issues across GTEP, while simultaneously establishing a durable, cross-domain performance engineering practice. The role ensures infrastructure performance, scalability, and resiliency are proactively engineered and continuously improved to support business-critical applications and services, in alignment with enterprise architecture standards and operational excellence objectives. In this role, you will: Acts as a senior troubleshooting escalation point for the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC), providing expert-level support during major incidents, including deep technical triage, packet analysis, and cross-platform diagnostics.



Define performance KPIs and service health metrics across network, compute, storage, cloud, security, middleware, and infrastructure services. Partner with application, architecture, security, and operations teams to validate end-to-end application flows and dependencies. Promote automation and observability maturity, including dashboards, alerts, synthetic monitoring, distributed tracing, and correlation across platforms. Leads incident response support for complex, multi-domain issues, ensuring rapid identification of root cause and driving resolution across engineering teams. Develop executive-level reporting on performance trends, resiliency gaps, recurring issues, and improvement progress.
