Help shape the future of youth justice as a full time Youth Mental Health Advocate in Kapuskasing. This role prioritizes community integration and resilience for young individuals in the criminal justice system.You will provide essential support services, including coping strategy development and social skills enhancement. By utilizing restorative justice approaches, your work will facilitate accountability and rehabilitation within the youth community. A firm grasp of relevant legislation and solid problem-solving skills are necessary for this position.Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to youth involved in justice
Implement community interventions focusing on mental health
Encourage accountability and social skill development
Facilitate restorative justice practices as needed
Assist families in navigating the youth justice systemRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
Knowledge of Youth Criminal Justice Act and MCCSS regulations
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility in working hours and travel requirements
