We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.As an Assurance Manager your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional client serviceLeading the coaching and performance management/development for direct reports through goal-setting, providing guidance, regular and timely feedback, and learning opportunities for professional developmentParticipating in the recruitment process (candidate interviews, assessment, and selection decisions)Planning, leading and executing client engagements under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors; ensuring client needs and expectations are clearly understood and communicated, and exceptional service is providedManaging the work assignment and performance of engagement team members and being accountable for the outcomeApplying strategies for delivering profitable services and influencing personal,
client and practice area key performance indicators; maximizing engagement profitability through effective utilization of resourcesProactive problem‑solving with engagement teams and clientsBeing a leader in the Firm by actively sharing leadership for Grant Thornton culture and contributing to business plan development and executionIdentifying and supporting new business opportunities by understanding the Firm, its service lines, and client relationshipsBuilding of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practiceQualificationsCPA (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA or CPA, CGA) accreditationCompleted post‑secondary degree/diplomaMinimum 4 years experience in public accounting or related industryStrong technical knowledge in audit and assurance, accounting, and taxStrong planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple engagements and work effectively under pressureAgile in the face of change and proven problem‑solver with solid analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels, influence decision‑makers, and lead changeTeam player with the ability to rally resources and work with others to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of clientsAbility to establish and develop meaningful business relationships with colleagues, clients, and in the marketplace, based on strong rapport, trust and respectStrong people management and inclusive leadership skills, especially in the areas of coaching and development of team members, project management, and multi‑team managementProficiency with MS Office suite and Accounting software applications (CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks),

To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $78,000–$100,000 in Prince George.
