Job OverviewJob ID:64737Job Category:Policy, Planning & ResearchDivision & Section:Transportation Services, Operations MaintenanceWork Location:320 Bering Ave.Job Type & Duration:2 Full‑time, Temporary Vacancies (12 months)Hourly Rate and Wage Grade:$42.28 - $46.31Shift Information:Monday to Friday, 35 hours per weekAffiliation:L79 Full‑timeNumber of Positions Open:2Posting Period:08-Jun-2026 to 22-Jun-2026Major ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, research and prepare reports on Operations & Maintenance activities regarding productivity, performance, cost effectiveness and technical operations.Maintain municipal infrastructure databases and generate maintenance and rehabilitation reports.Assist in the preparation and administration of contracts, including tender preparations, cost report entry, audit data entry for contract payments, invoicing, and budget tracking.Prepare and administer work orders, permits and service requests as required.Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the section’s annual capital and operating budgets.Provide ad hoc reports on asset base cost, unit cost, program costs and design custom reports as required.Compile, analyze, correlate data and prepare reports and studies for submission to management or council.Research, develop and prepare programs including continuous improvement of roadway services, winter control, fleet requirements, road drainage and sweeping.Establish and document road activity benchmarks reflecting best practice methods and procedures for performing tasks.Work on a research, development and technical team related to policies, procedures, planning and development.Assist in preparing,



maintaining and updating the section’s organizational charts, budget and staffing replacement approval documents.Provide administrative support and operational duties for the section.Monitor AVL/GPS programs and create custom reports for supervisors and senior management.Perform site visits and attend divisional/district meetings as required.Key QualificationsUniversity or college graduate in Civil Technology/Municipal Infrastructure Transportation/Urban Studies or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in contract preparation and analysis, record keeping and progress payments.Experience with SAP Ariba, S/4 Hana, EWMS Maximo or other financial and work management systems.Experience conducting research, statistical analysis and data manipulation.Proficient in various software applications, especially spreadsheets, databases and maintenance management software such as RACs, Maximo, SAP Ariba, MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).Valid class "G" Ontario Driver’s license and qualification for the City’s operating permit.Additional RequirementsResearch, analyze,
