The General Assistant must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting strict deadlines. There is a strong emphasis on customer service.Specific Responsibilities:Prepare bottle orders and sample preservatives for packing and shipping; Reviews and doublechecks bottle orders prepared by others for errors; Receive supplies and distribute to appropriate department; Inspect and lay out client samples as received; Label sample containers for processing; Provide excellent customer service to clients and couriers; Clean and pick up coolers from Sample Login; Maintain a clean work area; Sort and disposal of samples; Basic area cleaningProvide general assistance as required; Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality; Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures; Other duties as assignedby the team lead or Manager.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:English communication skills (auditory, verbal, writing, and reading) as required; Ability to use MicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel, and Outlook) on a basic level; Basic computer skills; Ability to perform repetitive tasks correctly in a fast-paced workplace; Good organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines such as Turnaround Times (TAT)



and holding requirements; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; A strong work ethic and willingness to take on varied tasks as required; A commitment to excellence and a client-focused attitude.Required Qualifications:High School graduation required with some chemistry preferred; Some lab experience would be an asset; Full training willbe provided.Physical Demands:Able to stand or sit for a full shift; Able to lift 50 lbs. andcarry for short distances; Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks.Our Benefits Include:An estimated hourly pay of $19.52 CAD at the time of posting.
