Must be a good role model and demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Must have experience working with teenage youth
Must be versatile and willing to learn
Must have First Aid and CPR-C certificate or be willing to obtain one
Have knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s Licence
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture
Must pass a Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
Caring and compassionate attitude
Duties
Help identify career goals, barriers to employment and assist youth with job readiness skills, job search strategies, resume writing and interview preparation
Maintain a safe home environment
Prep and cook for 10 or more youth
Maintain an accurate daily log on day-to-day business
Plan fun and educational activities for teenage youth
Support and guide residents, teaching responsibility as they transition into adulthood and independence
Serve as a role model to youth and clients
Maintain building security
Ensure nightly and major house cleaning duties are complete, as well as regular everyday chores
Attend staff meetings
Provide support and advocacy to residents and clients of the YWCA
Provide feedback to the Manager regarding clients and major issues plus incident reports
Perform some administrative duties
Attend to crises as they arise during non-office hours; contact the Manager in the event of a major crisis
Prioritize work, attending to the most urgent needs first
Work unsunprised
Maintain confidentiality
Any other duties as requested
