Surespan is seeking Bridgeman for various constructions projects across BC. These are all full time, permanent positions for the right candidates and provide strong opportunities for growth and stability.

Functions of this role include:
Working with the site superintendent and foreman to receive and complete tasks required
Perform bridgeman and piledriverduties including bridgeconstruction, repairs,formwork, timber, steel, and concrete installations.
Install, align, anddismantle falsework, shoring, andtemporary structures.
Assist with piledriving operations, includingpreparation, rigging,and supporting craneand hammer activities.
Safely rig loads,signal crane operators, and participate inlifting operations.
Read andinterpret constructiondrawings, layouts, andwork plans.
Operate hand tools, powertools, and constructionequipment required forbridge and heavycivil work.
Measure, cut, fit, and install structuralcomponents.
Perform concrete placement, finishing support, andstructural repairs asrequired.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safeworksite.
Participate in safetymeetings, toolbox talks,and site orientations.
Assist other tradesand crew membersas required tomeet project objectives

What you Bring:




Minimum 2 year construction labour experience
Proven history of protected practice working on construction sites and around heavy-duty equipment
Willingness and ability to perform the required tasks (lifting, carrying, moving materials up to 50lbs.)
Valuable work ethic and attitude towards hard work and long hours
Robust attention to detail, with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise
Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, heavy-duty machinery, and equipment
A desire to build and grow your career within a well-establish organization across western Canada.
Willingness to travel and work on rotational schedules throughout British Columbia.
