Role Overview

As a Custom Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new packaging innovations for our customers' needs. This will include meeting customers at their facilities and reviewing their packaging challenges and bringing back the needed information to successfully complete a design. You will need to understand our customer’s requirements and ensure the designs developed meets or exceeds these inputs at the price our customer agrees to.





Key Responsibilities

As a Custom Packaging Designer, you will:

- Use SolidWorks to develop creative and innovative packaging concepts that align with customer and brand requirements
- Produce prototypes and mock-ups to visualize and refine packaging designs
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure packaging designs meet technical and requirements
- Research and choose appropriate packaging materials that meet product specifications
- Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry regulations and standards for safety, labeling, and environmental impact
- Present packaging concepts and prototypes to our customers, articulating design concepts and benefits effectively
- Coordinate with production teams to oversee manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and consistency
- Assist with the management of multiple packaging design projects from conception to completion, adhering to timelines and budgets

The Skills You Bring

- 1-2 years of experience using SolidWorks or other CAD programs
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong creative abilities to develop original packaging concepts and designs
- Understanding of or an interest in learning about packaging materials and manufacturing processes




- Ability to research and select appropriate packaging materials based on product requirements and sustainability considerations
- Experience in managing packaging design projects, from concept development to final production
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to packaging safety, labeling requirements, and environmental sustainability
- Analytical skills to address packaging design challenges and propose practical solutions
