How you help our team:

Serving customers at the counter via ticket number system

Taking and filling customer orders

Preparing, portioning, and wrapping meat, cheese, and olive items

Using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim food

Preparing sandwiches and deli trays

Cleaning and sanitizing work area as needed and according to the company cleaning standards

Providing advice to customers regarding available products

Answering Deli telephone and taking customer orders

Promoting products and services that the Italian Centre Shop offers





Other duties as required

While we are willing to train the right candidate, most of our employees have had some of the following:

High School or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred A minimum of one-year experience in a customer focused role

Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a professional image at all times

Work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team

Have a well-balanced concern for both task and people

Have a genuine concern for needs of customers

Shift Schedule

Monday to Sunday Availability

Shifts may vary between 7am- 9pm

Must be able to work Mornings, Mid-Days, Evenings, General Holidays & Weekends

Working Conditions

Job requires employees to work a variety of shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

At time the job also requires employees to work with challenging customers and/or situations.
