Ontario | Multi-Clinic / Travel-Based Role
The Opportunity
Passion Dental Group is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support our growing anesthesia, sedation and sleep dentistry program across our Anytime Dental clinics in Ontario.
This is a unique role combining hands-on clinical nursing support with oversight of anesthesia and sedation compliance. The RN will travel to various clinics within our network based on scheduled surgery and anesthesia days, while also helping ensure our clinics remain prepared, organized and compliant with applicable RCDSO standards.
The role will also play an key part in supporting new clinics, and existing clinics introducing these services for the first time, with the setup and launch of their anesthesia and sedation programs.
What You’ll Do
Clinical &
- Anesthesia Support
- Travel to various Passion Dental / Anytime Dental clinics based on scheduled surgery, sedation and general anesthesia days.
- Support general anesthesia, sedation and sleep dentistry procedures as part of the clinical care team.
- Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, recovery and discharge within the RN scope of practice and under the direction of the appropriate treating and anesthesia providers.
- Support pre-operative and post-operative processes and documentation.
- Help ensure required equipment, medications and supplies are available and prepared for scheduled procedures.
- Work closely with dentists, anesthesia providers, clinic managers and clinical team members to provide a safe and positive patient experience.
Compliance &
- Program Oversight
- Support licensed Passion Dental clinics operating under the Anytime Dental brand in maintaining compliance with applicable RCDSO sedation and anesthesia standards.
- Conduct monthly reviews of patient charts related to anesthesia and sedation services to ensure documentation is complete and appropriate, and communicate any required follow-up to clinic teams.
- Monitor staff licences, CPR/BLS/ACLS certifications and other required credentials to ensure they remain current.
- Review anesthesia, sedation and emergency medication inventories, including quantities, storage and expiry dates, quarterly or as required.
- Support the management and organization of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Identify potential compliance gaps and work collaboratively with clinic and clinical leadership to address them.
- Maintain organized compliance documentation and tracking across participating locations.
New Clinic &
- Program Setup
- Support new clinics, as well as existing clinics introducing sedation, sleep dentistry or general anesthesia services, through the setup and launch process.
- Help ensure required clinical processes, documentation, equipment, medications, supplies and staff certifications are in place before services begin.
- Support clinic readiness for applicable RCDSO permitting, inspection and compliance requirements.
- Establish consistent charting, clinical workflows, emergency protocols and record-keeping practices.
- Provide education and guidance to clinic managers and clinical teams as new programs are introduced.
- Conduct follow-up reviews after launch to ensure continued readiness and identify opportunities for improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in anesthesia, perioperative nursing, PACU/recovery, outpatient surgery, emergency care or a related clinical environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting general anesthesia, procedural sedation or surgical procedures is an asset.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, medication management, infection prevention and patient safety.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and follow-through.
- Confidence working with dentists, anesthesia providers, clinic managers and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple clinic locations.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Ontario based on scheduled clinical and program needs.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to transportation.
