Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Finance for our finance department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the pharmaceutical industry with expertise in financial management, analysis, strategic planning, accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, cost management, business strategy, risk management, and budgeting. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

As a key member of the executive team, the Director of Finance will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of our company by providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Responsibilities

- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the executive team, administer and review all financial plans and budgets, monitor progress and changes, and keep the senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system, ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to, and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.




- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.
- Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the CFO.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and assess and communicate any changes necessary.
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the executive management team.
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.

Qualifications

- CPA, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA in Finance preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience in financial management and accounting, including financial analysis, strategic planning, financial reporting, forecasting, cost management, business strategy, risk management, and budgeting.
- SAP knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- A strong understanding of economic, taxation and banking processes.
