Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dispatcher – Trucking role located in Surrey, BC, focused on dry van and reefer operations. The Dispatcher will plan and coordinate daily loads, assign drivers and equipment, and optimize routes to meet delivery schedules and safety standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring trucks in real time, communicating with drivers, resolving delays or issues, and updating customers and internal teams on shipment status. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in dispatch systems, verifying load details, and ensuring compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. The Dispatcher will collaborate closely with operations, safety, and customer service teams to support effective, reliable service across Rover Carrier Ltd.’s network.

Qualifications





- Experience in dispatching or transportation coordination for dry van and reefer fleets, preferably within North American trucking operations.
- Strong skills in route planning, load scheduling, and optimizing driver and equipment utilization.
- Proficiency with dispatch, TMS, or fleet management software and ability to work with GPS and real-time tracking tools.
- Solid understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and hours-of-service rules.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple shipments simultaneously, and make sound decisions under time pressure.
- Attention to detail for accurate data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and commitment to safety and customer service.
- Previous experience in logistics or trucking dispatch in Canada and the US is an asset.
- Relevant post-secondary education in logistics, transportation, or business is an advantage but not required.

Job Type: Full time

Schedule

- Shift hours ( between 9 and 10 hours a day)
- Monday to Friday
- In–Person – Surrey , BC
