Candidates should ideally have completed an internship or residency and possess solid verbal and written communication skills. This full time role places a premium on teamwork and independent judgment.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine health assessments and clinical procedures
Execute surgical interventions and manage animal pathology
Collaborate effectively with team members on health issues
Engage in emergency response initiatives within the zoo
Establish rapport with zoo management and clienteleRequirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine licensed in Alberta
At least three years of full time zoological experience
Board certification or eligibility by ACZM
Excellent communication and organizational skills
