Position DetailsContract (Up to 12 months) Temporary Full Time. Working conditions: On‑site. Education level: Graduated from a common law program offered by a law school in Canada or otherwise eligible to article pursuant to the requirements of the Law Society of Ontario, as of the start date. Base location: Oshawa, ON. Temporary work location: Toronto, ON. Shifts: Day. Travel: None. Salary range: $65,000.00 – $98,500.00 annually. For articling student hires, the salary is established at $80,000 annually. Deadline to apply: June 26, 2026 at 5:00 PM.Job OverviewOPG is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results‑driven skilled to join our team as an Articling Student – Law.Key AccountabilitiesCorporate and commercial transactions, including the purchase and sale of equipment, commodities, real estate, fuel, services, and electricity, as well as contract negotiations and drafting.Research and preparation of legal memoranda in connection with legislation, regulations, licenses, permits, and approvals governing OPG’s operations.Preparation for hearings before administrative tribunals, including the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and the Ontario Energy Board.Environmental compliance issues arising in relation to nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric power generation.Drafting pleadings,



affidavits and factums.QualificationsGraduated from a common law program offered by a law school in Canada or otherwise eligible to article pursuant to the requirements of the Law Society of Ontario, as of the start date.A track record of academic excellence, demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.A results‑oriented focus with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment and manage several projects simultaneously.Strong verbal communication skills; ability to influence and communicate effectively across the company and externally at all levels.Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to work in a complex, regulated corporate environment.Superior writing skills, including the ability to compile information from research, case files or verbal direction, in order to draft documentation.Proficiency with information technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Westlaw and Quicklaw.Diversity & InclusionOPG is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment.
