Your role with us:
As a dual role, the Field Services Technician does a combination of duties both in the shop and on-site as our customers require. This unique role offers a work/life balance having a full-time home base working in the shop, but also the ability to travel to customer locations and provide field services pending the ebbs and flows of our industry. When on-site, The Field Services Technician will train and support customers in the mechanics and operation of products during casing running operations.
While in the shop, the Field Services Technician will repair and refurbish tools.
You will bring to the role:
- High school diploma, combined with mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience; or
- Post-secondary school in a mechanical or technical field is an asset.
- Experience in a customer service role, preferably providing support on technical equipment.
- General understanding of drilling rig operations and/or hands-on drilling or rig hand experience.
- Experience working in a shop environment and/or assembling and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Experience operating Computer Torque Monitoring software is an asset.
- Experience assembling and operating casing running tools is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, and the ability to meet the requirements of our Driving Eligibility Program.
- Ability to comply with pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and internationally.
