Tasks

- Maintain equipment work areas to safety standards.
- Prepare professional business documents using Microsoft Word.
- Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards
- Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures
- Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results
- Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis
- Develop manufacturing and processing procedures
- Ensure safety procedures are followed
- Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
- Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions
- Apply quality control procedure
- Ensure compliance and adherence with government regulations
- Evaluate user feedback
- Write specifications and technical reports
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects
- Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
- Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs

Responsibilities

- Support research and development activities focused on improving food processing technologies and industrial food manufacturing processes.
- Participate in design and execute R&D;, pilot-scale, and commercial-scale validation studies for current product development projects.
- Evaluate new food processing technologies and recommend improvements to processing methods and equipment performance and product quality.
- Develop, validate and optimize food processing procedures to improve product quality, yield, efficiency, food safety, and sustainability.
- Conduct testing, pilot-scale trials, and commercial-scale validation activities for food processing applications.
- Perform technical analysis of food microstructure, texture, rheology, process performance, and product stability.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical recommendations to support process optimization and commercial applications.
- Prepare technical reports, validation protocols, scientific documentation, and process recommendations.
- Support the development and implementation of quality assurance and validation procedures for new food processing technologies.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate product development and plant equipment used in food processing trials and validation activities.
- Support commercialization activities through customer trials, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations.
- Provide technical expertise during equipment installation, commissioning, and process optimization at customer facilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service teams to support innovative food processing solutions.
- Evaluate emerging food processing technologies and identify opportunities for process improvement and new product development.




- Maintain and develop quality control and validation documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical training and support to customers and internal teams.
- Represent CMP at industry conferences, technical meetings, and customer presentations as required.

Qualifications/Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food process development, food technology in industrial food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of food science, process optimization, food safety systems, and quality management principles.
- Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, ISO standards, GMP, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with statistical analysis software and experimental design methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience conducting pilot-plant and commercial-scale food processing trials.
- Experience supporting new product development, technology validation, commercialization, and customer implementation projects.
- Strong technical writing, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to travel internationally to support customer projects and technical initiatives.
