Haply Robotics

Montreal

We are hiring an Inventory & Procurement Specialist to keep our hardware production running smoothly through daily purchasing, PO tracking, and inventory control.

About Haply

Haply Robotics builds the world's most precise haptic devices, deployed in research labs, industrial integration projects, and production environments where "good" and "right" are measured in milliseconds and millinewtons. As robots and autonomous systems grow more capable, humans still need intuitive ways to teach, guide, and supervise physical tasks, and Haply builds the platform that lets people do that through touch and motion.

Since 2018, we've built precision haptic controllers that let people and machines feel and respond to the physical world with microscopic precision. We've raised over $20 million CAD from leading venture and strategic investors, and we're partnering across robotics and industrial automation to bring touch and control into physical AI, building toward a leading, privately-valued Canadian company with real venture-scale upside for those who join us early.

The Mission

As our Inventory & Procurement Specialist, you will keep our hardware production running smoothly by executing daily purchasing, PO tracking, and inventory control within our end-to-end supply chain. Reporting to the Production Director, you will bridge engineering designs and supply chain operations, ensuring technical parts arrive on time and within spec.

Haply manages 500+ SKUs across core products and accessories. You will manage the execution of our procurement and supply chain cycles, from supporting R&D; with component sourcing to maintaining ground-truth accuracy in our warehouse. This role is 80–90% focused on core inventory execution and purchasing management,

with a structured trajectory to step up into a Supply Chain Lead role as our manufacturing scale grows.

Why Join Us?

This is a hands-on role for an intermediate supply chain professional who thrives on operational accuracy. You will master daily procurement workflows, ERP tracking, and stock reconciliations while helping optimize our broader supply chain setup. As Haply grows, this position is designed to evolve, giving you the explicit runway and support to step up into leading the supply chain function.

Day 1 Realities

- Hands-On Execution: You will spend 80–90% of your time executing purchase orders, tracking vendor deliveries, and physically auditing stock in the warehouse.
- Supply Chain Infrastructure: You will help refine our Odoo ERP setup by catching system discrepancies and standardizing supply chain workflows.
- Practical Problem-Solving: When a part arrives defective or out of spec, you don't wait for a formal system to fix it. You proactively coordinate with engineering and contact the manufacturer directly to troubleshoot the issue and secure replacement parts.
- Balanced Speed & Diligence: You will balance assembly deadline demands with proper supply chain documentation, highlighting risks when trade-offs occur.

What You Will Own (80–90% Daily Execution & Inventory)

- Procurement Cycle: Issue daily POs, update ERP records, track international shipping timelines, and maintain supply chain visibility against production schedules.

- Inventory Integrity: Lead monthly physical inventory audits, perform bin counts, reconcile stock levels in Odoo, and maintain 100% data accuracy.
- Supplier Coordination: Maintain daily communication with vendors to track open orders, resolve component quality issues directly with manufacturers, and obtain replacement parts quickly.

What You Will Support & Grow Into (10–20% Supply Chain Strategy)

- Sourcing & DFM: Assist engineering in evaluating potential supply chain partners for custom parts (CNC, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding) and PCBA assemblies.
- Process Documentation: Help write SOPs for purchasing, defective part management, and inventory operations to standardize supply chain processes for future hires.
- Leadership Trajectory: Gradually take on high-level vendor negotiations, supply chain logistics strategy, and supplier performance reviews as you transition into the Supply Chain Lead title.

Requirements

- Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain execution within a hardware or physical product environment.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read 2D/3D technical drawings (GD&T; basics) to clearly communicate quality issues to vendors. Exposure to PCBA or custom hardware components is a plus.
- Software: Working proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo preferred), supply chain tracking tools, and Google Sheets/Excel.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- Languages: Skilled proficiency in both French and English. (Mandarin or Cantonese fluency is an asset).
