As a part of YMCA of Northern Alberta, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure aquatic workplace while conducting swimming lessons. This position entails monitoring swimmers and engaging with participants to track their progress in a friendly, inclusive setting.
You will implement safety protocols and provide timely feedback to members and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver swim lessons to diverse participant groups
Actively monitor the pool area at all times
Communicate participants' progress and needs
Enforce safety regulations and aid in emergencies
Record attendance and ensure cleanliness of aquatics areas
Requirements:
Minimum 16 years of age with specific supervision
CPR-C and Standard First Aid certifications
Required National Lifeguard certification within a year
YMCA Swim Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor certification
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Foster safety and growth in the YMCA community through dedicated instruction and vigilant lifeguarding.
