About The Role

Job Type: Part-time, In-person

Location: Langley, British Columbia

Compensation: $20.50-$27.38 hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability across SEO, web management and paid ads.

Longhouse is hiring a Junior Digital Marketer to support our SEO, web and digital advertising teams. This role is a strong fit for someone finishing a degree who wants agency experience and wants to grow into a full-time career at our company.

What You’ll Do

SEO & AEO Support

- Create blog articles that win SEO & AEO results.
- Publish and update blog posts, including formatting, internal links, headings, metadata, and image placement.
- Update and improve existing website pages so content is easier to understand, easier to trust, and more likely to be cited in AI results.
- Add and maintain FAQs, service details, and supporting references on key pages.
- Support SEO audits by pulling findings, summarizing issues, and helping implement fixes.
- Track basic SEO performance signals and report on what changed (rankings, traffic trends, lead volume, top pages) so the team can explain results to partners.
- Contribute to strategy as your skills develop.

Digital Advertising Account Support

- Support advertising work across platforms such as Meta & Google with day-to-day tasks and account upkeep.
- Spot and flag issues that block performance or reporting (disapprovals, billing problems, broken URLs, sudden drops in conversions, tracking gaps).
- Pull and summarize advertising results (spend, leads, cost per lead, conversion rate trends) so Results Managers can communicate performance and next steps to partners.
- Support landing page and conversion-focused updates tied to advertising campaigns.
- Contribute to strategy as your skills develop.

Website Maintenance Support

- Complete routine website updates across WordPress and other website platforms such as Squarespace & Wix, including text edits, image swaps, page updates, and basic formatting.
- Build or update pages using existing layouts so the site stays consistent.
- QA changes after they go live.



Confirm layout, links, forms, and key conversion elements work on desktop and mobile.

Team Support

- Work from a variety of briefs and ask good questions when something is missing.
- Communicate progress clearly and consistently, especially when a task is blocked.
- Keep work organized so teammates can understand what was done, where, and why.
- Take feedback seriously and apply it quickly. The goal is steady improvement, not perfection on day one.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone interested in learning about the breadth of services offered at Longhouse, later you will choose a path of technical specialization (Ads, Web or SEO) or project management as you grow your career here into a mid-level position.

Required

- Currently enrolled in a computer science, marketing, business, communications, or related program (or equivalent hands-on learning).
- Comfort working in tools like Google Workspace and learning new software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in-person in our Langley office on a consistent schedule.
- Fluent or Native in the English language
- Someone growth-minded that loves to learn.

Bonus (Nice To Have)

- Any experience with WordPress, SEO, Google Ads, or Meta Ads.
- Basic familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, or Microsoft Clarity.
- Any agency, internship, or freelance experience.

Our Hiring Process

1. Application review. We review every application and reach out to candidates who look like a strong fit.
2. Phone screen. A short call (15 to 20 minutes) to learn more and share role details.
3. Interview. In-person conversation at our Langley office.
4. Sample Project and/or Reference check. We’ll often ask for two to three references before an offer. To get a sense of your writing or technical ability, Longhouse often requests a portfolio or will create a short sample project.
5. Offer. If it’s a fit on both sides, we’ll share an offer and walk through next steps.
