Responsibilities
- Prepare customer documents for the digital imaging process.
- Review physical documents for quality issues that may affect scanning.
- Prepare a variety of document types and conditions for scanning.
- Index scanned images according to customer and leadership requirements.
- Assist with additional print-related workflows as needed.
- Receive, sort and process mail documents, packages and supplies, and notify recipients.
- Record and process accountable mail information and maintain logs.
- Operate mail equipment, including inserters, sorters and finishing equipment.
- Perform quality checks on outbound mail.
- Perform mail labeling and mail merge activities.
- Perform electronic mail distribution, including opening, preparing,
scanning and distributing mail.
- Complete fulfillment activities such as assembly, packaging and kitting of materials.
- Follow mailroom security procedures.
- Deliver and collect mail on scheduled routes.
- Move boxes, load paper into machines and support operational workflow requirements.
- Perform other assigned duties to meet business needs.
What you will need to succeed:
Education and certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Required experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional working environment, including experience in a client-facing environment.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a mailroom environment.
Technical and professional skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to operate high-volume mail and insertion equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, squat and reach without issue.
- Ability to walk and push a mail cart.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes and procedures.
